A quick trip last weekend up the stairs onto the rooftop of the beautiful Temple Station to see Lakwena Maciver’s Artist’s Garden, a riot of bright geometric shapes covering the whole roof. There is a safe space hut modelled on the black cab drivers shelters. And large letters spelling out Nothing can separate us. It is a piece of art that can only be seen from a few office windows and such a great use of space. Our visit coincided with the Lord Mayor’s Parade, so we had an unexpected view of the road with floats and participants ready for the off. I hope the Artist’s Garden is a permanent installation.
